An educational scholarship fund named in memory of former Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida resident, Anne Tatler, has been formed for employees of the Life Care community’s skilled nursing facility, The Lodge at Cypress Cove.
Barbara Lewis, daughter of Anne Tatler, Tuesday announced the program’s initial scholarship fund gift of $10,000 in her mother’s memory as a thank you to all caregivers of The Lodge at Cypress Cove for their devotion, service, and commitment.
Commencing in the Spring of 2019, the Anne Tatler Scholarship will select as a scholarship recipient one employee of The Lodge each collegiate semester.
Ms. Tatler was born in New York City and grew up as an orphan. She was a fierce believer in education, having put herself through college while working as a housekeeper and a nanny. She encouraged her daughter to return to college for her advance MBA degree and now Ms. Lewis said she is hopeful that the new scholarship will help positively change the life of each award recipient.
The Lodge at Cypress Cove is one of Southwest Florida’s premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. It offers 64 private suites that are comfortably furnished and ready to provide residents with quality nursing care in a cheerful and inviting home-like environment.
Cypress Cove’s employee scholarship programs began less than a year and one-half ago. Funding for scholarship programs has already exceeded $125,000 says Philanthropy Specialist Allen Abbott. Employee scholarships reward staff for their educational endeavors and eases some of the financial burdens of a college or advanced education.
