On October 27, Approximately 50 residents and employees of Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida joined more than 650 Southwest Florida community participants in their show of support for the fight against Alzheimer’s during the Alzheimer’s Association (Gulf Coast Chapter) Walk to End Alzheimer’s event at Fort Myer’s Centennial Park.
The Cypress Cove community, a major sponsor of the “Walk,” is actively involved in advocacy and support against Alzheimer’s.
“It was a sincere honor and pleasure to serve as a sponsor for this meaningful event,” says Cypress Cove Executive Director Michele Wasserlauf. “For years, Cypress Cove has been engaged in concerted efforts to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s through our unique programming activities and specialized housing.”
In 2017, Cypress Cove unveiled a new 42,000 square foot state-of-art assisting living memory care facility. The Cottage at Cypress Cove offers home-style living in four adjoining households for 44 residents with memory issues. The Cottage has been cited nationally for its advanced design and unique programming techniques.
