Danielle Schaaf, RN has been promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in our Assisted Living (AL) neighborhoods, The Inn and The Cottage. She has worked at Cypress Cove since 2013, starting as an LPN. She became an RN and served as a care plan coordinator, then a supervisor. Danielle is certified in wound care, progressive care, Wahl’s Protocol, CPR, ACLS, first aid and defibrillator. Her clinical knowledge and skills include working with mentally disabled, geriatric, pediatric and orthopedic patients. Danielle earned her three nursing degrees through Rasmussen University.
As the ADON in AL, she assists the AL Manager and Director of Nursing in planning, developing and supervising the activities of licensed and non-licensed team members who provide health care and nursing services. Her position also assists with the development of nursing services, policies and procedures, and objectives in accordance with federal and state guidelines. Danielle oversees and participates in the selection, hiring, training and scheduling of department direct care team members, including performance evaluation and disciplinary process. She develops and implements tools to ensure communication, performance, and care is meeting the expectation of Cypress Cove.
Debbie Torres, RN has been promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in our skilled nursing (SN) neighborhood, The Lodge. She has worked at Cypress Cove for one year, serving as an RN in The Lodge. Debbie is certified in basic life support and earned her nursing degree through Rasmussen University.
As the ADON in SN, she assists the Director of Nursing in planning, developing and supervising the activities of licensed and non-licensed team members who provide health care services. Her position also assists with the development of nursing services, policies and procedures, and objectives in accordance with federal and state guidelines and regulations. She supervises and manages nursing team members, and fosters positive communications and relationships with staff, physicians, residents and families while promoting high quality resident care.
