FORT MYERS, Fla. (December 13, 2021) Cypress Cove residents and staff celebrated their 11th year of holiday support to The Heights Center’s annual holiday gift drive by donating more than 500 toys and gifts for children of the Harlem Heights community.

The items were presented to representatives of The Heights Center last week and will join other donated items to be distributed to Harlem Heights parents for neighborhood children later this month.

“This holiday season will be especially challenging for many families in the Harlem Heights neighborhood due to the impact of COVID-19,” said Heights Foundation President and CEO Kathryn Kelly. “We are thankful for the generous support of our neighbors.”

“Even during this challenging time, our residents and staff have extended their generosity to those less fortunate,” Cypress Cove Executive Director Mary Franklin commented during presentation. “Bicycles, dolls, basketballs, art sets—each gift here will make a meaningful impact to the children of Harlem Heights.”

Cypress Cove’s Office of Philanthropy coordinated the drive and provided shopping services for those who preferred to donate money. Donations from residents to purchase gifts amounted to $4,000.
