Michelle Tompkins, Care Manager at Cypress at Home
Cypress at Home has added Aging Life Care Associate Michelle Tompkins to its expanding team of home and community-based care managers. Tompkins brings to the Cypress at Home team of care managers an individual with over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. She obtained a master’s degree in Family Studies and Social Work from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and holds a Memory Fitness trainer certification from UCLA’s Longevity Center. Prior to joining the Choices by Cypress at Home team, she had served for the past nine years as a Wellness Manager, and in other roles, at a Southwest Florida continuing care retirement community.
Mike Moss, VP of Sales/Marketing for Cypress Living
Cypress Living has appointed former Lee Health executive Mike Moss as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cypress Living. Moss, who served as System Director for Physician Relations and Business Development at Lee Health, will be responsible for oversight and development of sales and marketing functions at Cypress Living and its affiliates: the nearby 48-acre continuing care retirement community of Cypress Cove and Cypress at Home. Moss brings 10 years of experience managing physician relations, business development, and continuum of care relations teams to ensure coordinated health, wellness, and medical care for providers and residents living in southwest Florida.
Tim Ficker, Executive Director at Cypress Cove
Tim Ficker, Executive Director at Cypress Cove from 2009 to 2013, has accepted transition into the HealthPark Florida Life Plan Community’s top management position. He returned to Cypress Cove this past October in an interim capacity and recently agreed to move into the executive director’s role for a longer period. Ficker brings with him 25 years of experience in executive leadership in the senior living field. During his management career with senior retirement communities, he has served for some of the country’s most progressive and successful continuing care retirement communities.
Mary Franklin, Associate Executive Director at Cypress Cove
Mary Franklin has been promoted to Associate Executive Director at Cypress Cove. Franklin is a smart and effective leader who is respected by residents and staff members alike. She joined Cypress Cove as Director of Resident Services, and in her new position, she will continue her leadership role with resident service functions and assume oversight for Cypress Cove’s three health services communities. Her dedication, caring, and professional acumen has made her the ideal choice to help guide the future of Cypress Cove.
Kimberly Scott, Director of Nursing at The Lodge
In 2016, Kimberly Scott was accepted into Cypress Cove’s newly launched employee scholarship program, which allowed her to earn her nursing degree and launched her toward her selection as the new Director of Nursing for The Lodge at Cypress Cove. The U.S. Air Force veteran is not a newcomer to the Cypress Cove staff, having joined the team in 2012 while schooling for her Licensed Practical Nursing certification from Cape Coral Technical College. With her new role as Director of Nursing, Scott will be responsible for overseeing clinical care and support of all residents at The Lodge.
Matthew Lessig, Administrator at The Lodge
Matthew Lessig has been appointed Administrator of The Lodge at Cypress Cove. Formerly, Lessig played an instrumental role in the design and start-up of the Gulf Coast Medical Center Skilled Nursing unit where he served as Administrator. Cypress Cove is extremely pleased to have Lessig join the team with his experience and credentials, along with his strong belief in the concept of person-centered care. He is an excellent leader, filling a critical position within the community’s care management structure.
Bob Rahmanian, D.O., Medical Director for Cypress at Home
Dr. Rahmanian has been appointed as the Medical Director for Cypress at Home, the HealthPark Florida-based in-home care business that provides innovative services and solutions that support aging in place for older adults. Dr. Rahmanian, who completed his pre-medical studies at Wayne State University and medical schooling at Des Moines University, brings to the organization 20 years of experience as an emergency department physician. He has been providing care in the skilled nursing community for the past five years at facilities in Lee and Collier Counties, and his appointment adds another level of care and exceptional service offered by Cypress at Home.
