FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 5, 2022) Cypress Cove luxury retirement and life plan community has welcomed (Raymond) Scott Berry as director of facilities following the retirement of Peter Haight. Berry is a seasoned professional with broad-ranging experience in facility management, including building construction, property maintenance, risk assessment, and quality assurance.

“I was drawn to the organization’s commitment to providing innovative solutions for optimal aging,” said Berry. “I am excited to take on this challenge and ensure we provide the highest quality senior living environment in an effective and efficient manner.”

As director of facilities, Berry will provide direction and management in all areas of the interior and exterior of Cypress Cove’s facilities and campus. Adhering to all regulatory guidelines, Berry will serve as the campus wide safety consultant and provide oversight of all maintenance, construction and renovation projects and ensure proper maintenance of the budgets for same. He is responsible for the management of the supervisors over maintenance, environmental services, transportation and security.

“Scott brings a high level of expertise to help ensure our campus is a beautiful and safe environment,” said Mary Franklin, executive director. “He will be instrumental in providing an outstanding experience for our current residents as well as preparing our organization and campus for the next generation of residents.”

Berry hails from Waterville, Maine, where he worked as Director of Facilities at Kennebec Behavioral Health since 1996. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from University of Maine at Augusta and holds IFMA Facilities Management certification.
