Douglas Dodson, Jr. Named Home Health Administrator

Douglas Dodson, Jr. has been appointed administrator of home health for Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida.

Dodson comes to the 48-acre South Fort Myers life plan community with experience in the field of healthcare. For the past several months, he has been assisting Cypress Cove in its strategic planning and compliance project efforts, including interim support of the company’s home health agency program.

He is a graduate from the University of Miami School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor and from the university’s School of Business Administration where he achieved a Master of Business Administration degree. Among his experiences, Dodson worked as an intern with Lee Health and assisted executive team members in the development and implementation of strategic processes for their healthcare system’s activities.

As home health agency administrator, Dodson is responsible for hiring, managing and performing service training and development of all agency personnel. Cypress Cove’s home health program provides assistance to requesting residents at any time – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The agency holds a Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP accreditation) and is supported through two certified caregiver groups – certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and certified home health aides (CHHAs).

The program provides a secure addition for Cypress Cove residents’ quality of life. “Our goal,” notes Executive Director Michele Wasserlauf, “is to keep our residents safe and comfortable. We are very pleased to have such a compassionate and caring administrator as Douglas leading our program.”
