Adrianne Gerard of Fort Myers has been appointed Healthcare Marketing Specialist at Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida, a continuing care retirement community located in south Lee County.
Gerard, who brings 12 years of Southwest Florida healthcare retirement community experience, will be primarily responsible for marketing and sales of The Cottage at Cypress Cove, a unique state-of-the art multi-million dollar memory care neighborhood now under construction on the 48-acre campus. She will also assist in the promotion of Cypress Cove’s assisted living (The Inn) and skilled nursing and rehabilitation (The Lodge) facilities.
She comes to Cypress Cove following a seven year career at Shell Point Retirement Community where she recently served as Retirement Counselor of Lifecare Sales. Prior to her current position, she had worked as a Healthcare Marketing Specialist with an emphasis on in-patient and out-patient therapy, long-term skilled nursing care and memory care.
“We are very pleased to have a person of Adrianne’s experience join our dynamic Cypress Cove family,” says Cypress Cove Executive Director Michele Wasserlauf. “Her expertise will be extremely helpful as we prepare our level of care transitioning this spring with the opening of The Cottage.”
The Cottage at Cypress Cove is a distinctive two-story, four-household cluster small house concept (11 residential units per household). Construction of the neighborhood began last November and it is expected to be ready for occupancy this spring. When open, the residences will provide its residents with the finest and newest design for memory care and quality living.
Gerard is a graduate of DePaul University. She has worked previously in other assisted-living and retirement communities in Southwest Florida and Chicago. Currently, she is a Certified Support Group Facilitator with the Alzheimer’s Association, and a volunteer with the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, the Humane Society of Lee County and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Gerard and her family live in Fort Myers.
