What is Person-Centered Care at Cypress Cove?
Person-centered care is a care delivery approach and philosophy that places individual preference and choice at the forefront. You may also hear it called person-directed care. Innovative Memory Care Programming at Cypress Cove
The Cottage at Cypress Cove provides engagement opportunities and innovative approaches to Memory Care Assisted Living in a comfortable, secure, homelike environment. From our seasonal farmers’ markets in our tropical outdoor garden, to our morning meditation and wellness programs, to our festive family nights, our ever-changing calendar events is based on our current residents’ unique preferences and interests.
The Cottage features a weekly happy hour with live music, interactive cooking demonstrations by our chefs, music, art, and pet therapy, along with relaxing chats by our custom-built fireplaces in our four exquisite living rooms.
Wellness at The Cottage:
- Daily wellness programs, including free weights, resistance bands, purposeful breathing techniques, dynamic movement and stretching to improve balance, strength, range of motion, and fall prevention
- Cognitive exercises, including storytelling, word games, reminiscing, trivia, puzzles, card games, dominoes, and learning of a new game once a month
- Creative pursuits developed around resident interests, including gardening club, walking group, herb garden, cooking group, tea tasting, social groups, golfing, and corn hole
- Monthly outings to local restaurants and parks and relaxing golf cart rides around our campus
- Monthly social events, including weekly happy hours with live music, music & movement classes, dance groups, and holiday socials
- State-of-the-art tools, including It’s Never Too Late (IN2L) program designed for Alzheimer’s and dementia; iPad, iPod, and interactive animals designed to promote positive interaction
- Snoezelen Room designed to reduce agitation, anxiety
- Seasonal special events like family nights, and intergenerational programming
- Art therapy provided every two weeks
- Music therapy provided weekly
Stimulating Activities Daily
You can be assured that your loved one will be safe, well cared for, and engaged in stimulating activities each day.
Our dedicated staff provides assistance with all activities of daily living, three nutritious meals daily, housekeeping, linen service, scheduled transportation, and customized programming.
Cypress Cove provides security 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as safety precautions that include pass-entry doors and individual family passcodes.

Our residents have access to medical care from compassionate, highly trained staff. In addition to care provided under the leadership of a Licensed Practical Nurse on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week and Certified Nursing Assistants, The Cottage offers:

- Specialty physicians on-site, including a Psychiatrist, Podiatrist, and Dermatologist
- An industry-leading ratio of staff to residents
- Medication management
- Full-time, on-site Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners
- A full-time Certified Recreational Therapist
- Easy access to HealthPark Medical Center
- Elegant country kitchens with stainless steel appliances and breakfast bars
- Private parlors in all households designed for family visits and celebrations
- Multi-purpose room featuring “It’s Never Too Late” (IN2L) interactive system

Culinary at The Cottage:
Residents of The Cottage are served three delicious, healthy meals daily. Individual resident profiles allow us to customize meals for each resident. Fresh fruits and vegetables, and homemade soups and ice cream are created by our chefs, who offer our residents in Memory Care the same delicious food and level of service available across the Cypress Cove campus. We have beverage stations featuring coffee, tea, and fresh fruit-infused water available throughout the day.
All Private Rooms at The Cottage:
Each resident of The Cottage has a private unit with spacious bathroom and walk-in shower and innovative safety features. Every effort has been made to make our residents feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Floor plans have been specially designed for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related conditions.
Apartment amenities include:
- Granite countertops
- Tray ceilings
- Expansive windows to maximize natural lighting and plantation shutters
- Wall-mounted flat-screen televisions
- Individual heating and cooling for personal climate control

A Safe, Friendly Place For Family
The Cottage offers a comprehensive fee of $320 per day that includes access to the following services and amenities:
- Assistance with all activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, ambulation, and toileting
- Assistance with administration and management of medications
- Three meals provided daily, plus snacks and refreshments, in one of four dining areas
- Private residences featuring a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower
- All utilities, including personal heating and cooling, plus cable and internet
- Weekly housekeeping services
- Weekly linen and towel service, including personal laundry services
- Transportation to scheduled activities, events, and sites
All rates are charged in advance based on the number of days per month.
