FORT MYERS, Fla. (July 3, 2023) The Lodge at Cypress Cove has been recognized as a 2023 recipient of the Silver —Achievement in Quality award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for its commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care. The distinction is the second of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The program, presented by the leading association in long-term and post-acute care, recognizes organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to further improve the lives of residents and staff in long term care.
“We are honored to be recognized for high quality care at the national level again after achieving the Bronze—Commitment to Quality award just one year ago. The amazing team in The Lodge is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. Their efforts and compassion are making a positive impact,” said Executive Director Mary Franklin. “I am so proud to work alongside them every day.”
Created by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, the National Quality Award Program is a rigorous three-level process that is reviewed and judged by trained experts against a set of nationally recognized standards for organizational excellence. The standards of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program help organizations achieve superior performance to improve quality of life and care of long-term care residents and staff.
The National Quality Award Program has three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. At the Silver level, recipients have met the criteria for the Bronze award and move on to evaluate and improve their processes, creating a systematic approach for all aspects of the organization that leads to positive outcomes and success. Trained examiners review each application to determine if the center has met the demands of the criteria. Silver recipients can now move on to the final and most prestigious level of the program, the Gold—Excellence in Quality award.
“We are delighted to honor The Lodge for being recognized at the Silver award level,” said Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair. “This recognition is a testament to their unwavering efforts in enhancing the lives of those entrusted to their care. Congratulations to the entire team at The Lodge for their outstanding achievement. Keep striving for excellence.”
The award will be presented during Delivering Solutions 23, the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, October 1-4, 2023, in Denver, Colorado.
