FORT MYERS, Fla. (March 8, 2023) Cypress Cove has welcomed Greg Madsen, M.Ed. as Resident Services Manager. He is responsible for providing non-medical support services with compassionate care to the community’s independent residents in The Harbour and The Villas neighborhoods for their psychosocial and functional needs. He will also assist residents and their family members through healthcare transitions.
“Greg’s compassionate nature and wealth of experience will undoubtedly make a positive impact on our residents,” said Executive Director Mary Franklin. “Our commitment to providing comprehensive wellness care and support to our residents is unwavering, and we are excited to have our new resident services manager on board to further advance our mission.”
Madsen has extensive experience in the senior living industry, including having served in operations, marketing, admissions and community relations at several retirement communities, assisted living facilities and skilled nursing centers throughout Southwest Florida. He also has experience working in the home health industry.
As a volunteer, Madsen serves on the Board of Directors for the McGregor Clinic, helping to educate and treat people with HIV/AIDS. He has also been heavily involved with CAMEO (Cooperative Associates Marketing Elderly Options) for many years, having served as president from 2011-2015 and grants chairperson from 2020-2022, and continues to be an active member in the organization.
Madsen’s education includes a master’s degree in educational leadership from University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida Southern College. He is CORE certified through the State of Florida as a Certified Assisted Living Administrator and maintains CPR/First Aid certification.
Madsen reports to Associate Executive Director Matt Lessig.
