Each month, The Cottage features a rotating series of speakers on a variety of topics related to caregiving for someone with Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia related conditions. Previously featured topics included “It’s Not Your Loved One, It’s the Disease,” “Healthly Aging,” and “Communication is a Two-way Street.”.
Past presenters include Mary Freyre, Education Specialist with The Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, Dr. Mabel Lopez with Mind and Brain Care, and Amy Schenk, Program Specialist with the Alzheimer’s Association. Friends and families of our residents are welcome to attend these intimate sessions held in the Multi-Purpose Room at The Cottage.
